CEED 2023
The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is the qualifier for the MDes programmes at IIT Bombay, IISc Bangalore, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur. This is the official CEED 2023 Part A paper, rebuilt from the question paper released by IISc Bangalore.
CEED 2023 used an all-or-nothing MSQ scheme with a small −0.2 penalty for any wrong selection, so partial guesses cost you. Use this paper to see how the older scoring shape changes your risk appetite compared with the 2024 and 2025 papers, and to test yourself on the visual reasoning patterns that still dominate the exam.

Marking
NAT: +3 / 0. MSQ: +3 all correct / 0 unattempted / -0.2 in every other case (no partial credit). MCQ: +2 / -0.5 / 0. Maximum 100 marks.
